Registration open for Scotland’s Trade Fair

Registration open for Scotland’s Trade Fair

It’s time to register to attend Scotland’s Trade Fair, which opens in under 8 weeks at the SEC in Glasgow. With a huge array of established and new exhibitors this trade fair is not to be missed.

With over 400 exhibitors, who are excited to unveil new designs and their 2022 ranges, this could be the first time to see many of these products and make orders. After the lull in trade shows due to the pandemic it is clear that once again trade shows will be the place to re-stock, discover new items and ensure retailers stay ahead of the game with fresh, exciting products.

Scotland’s Trade Fair Director Mark Saunders said: “There are clear signs that the retail market is recovering and many independent shops, especially in smaller towns, are reporting decent sales as people choose to shop local wherever possible. Many of our exhibitors may only exhibit at this Show so to ensure you’re stocking the best that is on offer, it is vital to come to Scotland’s Trade Fair from 23-25 Jan 2022.

“After the torrid past 18 months it is key that producers and retailers all need to support each other and we hope that our Show will give the perfect opportunity to re-connect and re-order.”

About 20% off all exhibitors are new and include some gems such as Fernweh, Scribe & Grow, Dreamair, Lindsay McDowall Jewellery, Craftypups, Eriskay Candles and Neil McLeod Prints. The Launch and Craft Galleries are particularly strong with some very innovative producers.

The Show’s Talking Shop zone will provide visitors with insight into current topics such as Targeting Influencers, an Instagram Masterclass, How to do your own PR, Attracting Tourists Back and Sustainability. There will be a range of informal talks, panel discussions and workshops.

Nessie’s Den is also returning where emerging producers will showcase their products to the ‘Nessies’ – well respected retailers – National Trust for Scotland’s Caroline Reid, Katrina Thomson, owner of Captain’s Cabin and Wendy Ross from Ruby Red – in the mode of the BBC’s Dragon’s Den, in an entertaining and exciting session.

Best Product Awards will be judged on the opening day with the resulting winners’ products on display in the centre of the Show.

EcoBags are the official supplier of carrier bags to Scotland’s Trade Fair and are providing bags made from recycled plastic bottles, which are themselves recyclable.

So don’t miss your chance to get ahead, find out what’s new and enjoy re-acquainting yourself with actually seeing, feeling and experiencing the vast array of products on offer.
