Tabletop and Gift
Museums & Galleries (M&G) has created a new section for Tabletop and Gift products in its 2023 catalogue. It contains some exciting developments, all of which will be on display at Spring Fair.
The show will see the launch of a new collection of printed paper napkin packs which feature imagery from across the M&G collection. Alongside the paper napkins will be a range of printed organic cotton napkins from M&G’s V&A, British Museum, Catherine Rowe and Classics ranges. Plus, M&G’s organic cotton luxury tote bags and pouch bag collections have been expanded with new designs.
Later in the spring, M&G will launch insulated travel tumblers. This range of high-quality double-wall insulated hot/cold drinks tumblers, featuring classic and colourful prints and matt accent colour lids, are perfect for drinks on the go. They are from the same family as the company’s existing drinks bottles, which have been refreshed with new designs including the Natural History Museum and Catherine Rowe. The travel tumblers will preview at the NEC, with availability in late February/March.
Meanwhile, M&G’s jigsaws launched last year and were a huge hit with retailers. The firm has doubled the range with some exciting and challenging new puzzles, all of which are available now and will be at the exhibition.
In addition, M&G now offers a huge range of sheet wrap, roll wrap, gift bags, and gift tissue packs. Sheet wraps come in single sided, double sided, and foiled formats.
Giftable Stationery
Every format of M&G’s notebook and journal collection has been refreshed with new designs, including new mini notebooks and mini notebook sets. There are new password books, address books, and perpetual planner diaries, while its popular year planner and calendar ranges have been expanded with a wider selection of designs.
The company’s notecards and social stationery hang-packs have been thoroughly refreshed, and M&G has now eliminated plastics from their construction completely.
New products include luxury square notecard wallets with branded aperture outers, containing six each of one design, and everyday theme packs. Introduced by popular request, these are an everyday version of M&G’s Christmas theme boxes. A launch range of 12 boxes featuring iconic designs will be on show.
Greeting Cards
All M&G’s core greeting cards ranges have been majorly refreshed with bold, eye-catching, classic, and sometimes quirky amusing choices. Notably, M&G has completely transformed its Transport for London range with a host of new designs.
A new card range for 2023 is Tate Contemporary, showcasing some of Tate’s boldest, most colourful artworks – and renowned artists – in a modern gallery-style art card format with a neon green accent envelope.Â
This range sits alongside its existing Tate range of cards – but while that range explores all sides of the Gallery’s art holdings, Tate Contemporary showcases bright and colourful contemporary art for a discerning audience of art lovers.
Artists featured include Mary Fedden, Julian Trevelyan, Nicholas Munro, and Barbara Hepworth. The range was developed in close consultation with Tate itself and is a bold new venture for 2023, particularly suited to independents and art-focused retail environments. There are 12 cards in the launch collection.
Christmas licence
Finally, M&G is delighted to announce a new range of cards and gift wrap featuring Robin Robin from Aardman’s first stop-motion musical, broadcast on Netflix. A sweet-natured and curious robin is adopted by a family of burglar mice. M&G says: ’We think everyone will be charmed by this delightful new Christmas classic, which we’ve translated to cards, boxes and wrap.’
