Great British Jigsaws has launched a jubilant jigsaw to mark the momentous occasion of King Charles III’s coronation. Produced entirely in the UK, this vibrant new jigsaw is ideal for puzzlers that want to buy British and support small businesses.
The cheery 1,000-piece jigsaw was designed by Emma Joustra, an established artist and illustrator from Staffordshire who enjoys creating colourful works. Emma undertook extensive research to create a puzzle that speaks of the King and his passions.
Featuring King Charles and the Queen Consort standing proudly against a backdrop of The Mall and Buckingham Palace, the jigsaw portrays joyful well-wishers from all over the British Isles waving their Union Flags, roses, thistles, shamrocks and daffodils.
Overhead, the Red Arrows roar their way across a red, white and blue sky from Windsor, over the London skyline including The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye.
This glorious scene is adorned with many of the things that reflect the King’s love of British people, animals, conservation and the environment. You can spot garden birds, plane trees, wild parakeets and a raven from The Tower. Bees, butterflies, ladybirds and dragonflies join the festivities, whilst the royal couple’s rescue dogs sit dutifully at their feet.
From pearly kings and queens to charity workers, and from the golden carriage to ceremonial trumpeters, this jigsaw is a celebration of the monarchy and the very best of 21st century Britain. Even the box the jigsaw arrives in is special, as the base is wrapped with premium embossed purple paper.
Made with a 100% recycled puzzle board, the jigsaw measures 69cm x 48cm and will be available as a Special Edition from March 13.
