Children’s clothing brand Blade & Rose has received a highly commended accolade in The Green Awards 2023, organised by CITY KIDS magazine.
Billed as ‘The Definitive Guide for London Families’, CITY KIDS magazine was born of founder Victoria Evans’ frustration to find things to do with her young family in the capital. Eight years on, CITY KIDS has grown to include articles on shopping, travel, food, education, and fashion. The magazine is printed four times a year, its website is updated daily, and the CITY KIDS team has grown to include a group of contributors who are also parents.
CITY KIDS said: ‘Blade & Rose produces a range of eco-friendly, ethical and sustainable clothing for babies and children. All fabrics throughout the collections are certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX, containing no harmful chemicals or substances.
‘All of the clothing in the WWF Collection by Blade & Rose is made from 100% organic cotton and 10% of each sale goes to WWF UK. All other cotton products are sourced using the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) which exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector’s future. All of its plastic packaging is recycled and in turn can be recycled again, meaning its carbon footprint is greatly reduced.
