The organising team at Glee is celebrating after winning the Best UK Trade Show (+ 8,000sq ft) category of the Association of Exhibition Awards, held on June 16 at Grosvenor House in central London.
Having been shortlisted in previous years, Glee’s time finally came with the annual garden retail exhibition scooping the DB Schenker-sponsored award. In a fiercely fought category, Glee was up against The London Vet Show, The Health & Safety Event, Housing 2022, and the Advanced Engineering show.
The award follows a period of change for Glee, with its first-ever June slot further cementing its worth. After a challenging time when in-person events were put on the back burner, Glee came back bigger and stronger, proving that a change can reinvigorate a show and offer its stakeholders more value than ever. This year’s event takes place from June 27 to June 29 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Glee’s event director said: “There are a lot of people that have made this award possible, including the in-house team and our partners but, perhaps most of all, our exhibitors. We are beyond proud of the journey Glee has undertaken in the past few years and so grateful for the support that our industry has shown us. This is award is for all of you. Thank you!”
