Kushboo Soaps founder shortlisted in Great British Entrepreneur Awards

Sarwat Jaleel, founder of Ribble Valley-based business Kushboo Soaps, has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards in two regional categories for North West England: ‘Creative Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year’.

This recognition reflects her exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and remarkable achievements within the industry.
Sarwat said: “I’m thrilled and really proud to be shortlisted in two categories, especially the ‘Family Business’ category, as what began as a desire to help my local community with artisan soaps has grown into an award-winning, national vegan brand on a mission to spread wellness. Five years later, the business has expanded into larger premises to accommodate increased headcount and production.”

Kushboo Skincare has earned national recognition and accolades for its dedication to sustainability and philanthropy. The brand is stocked worldwide but stays committed to donating soap to vulnerable groups. Looking ahead, Kushboo Skincare expects significant growth with new product lines.

Now in its 11th year, the awards have been referred to as ‘The Grammys for Entrepreneurship’ by Dragon’s Den entrepreneur (and former winner) Steven Bartlett. They celebrate outstanding individuals and businesses that drive innovation, generate employment opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the UK economy.
The awards ceremony will take place on November 20 at London’s Grosvenor House, where industry leaders, innovators, and influencers will gather to celebrate the achievements of the finalists.
