Four years after his last visit, Enesco welcomed Jim Shore – the award-winning artist behind Heartwood Creek, Disney Traditions and more, which are distributed by the gift company – back to the UK on September 21.
Armed with the all-important signing Sharpie, Jim made the 4,000-mile round trip from South Carolina to embark on a 17-day signing tour of the UK and Europe. Following many months of careful planning, excitement was brewing and expectations were high. As in previous years, Enesco and Jim’s loyal fans were not disappointed.
Two events were hosted by branches of jewellery and giftware chain F.Hinds at Merry Hill shopping centre in Dudley and Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield on September 23 and September 25 respectively, where Jim met fans who had travelled from far and wide to meet the artist behind the figurines they greatly adore.
Jim delighted the crowds, welcoming and signing figurines for everyone who attended, with the respect and attention he believes they so very much deserve.
He has now left the UK to complete the European leg of his tour, with further signing events in Germany, Holland, and Belgium. The final event is planned for Saturday October 7 at Disneyland Paris.
