The Great British Card Partnership (GBCP) is the brokerage arm of The Great British Card Company (GBCC), and offers a solution to retailers who want to have a curated range from one source which cuts down on time and stock levels and, importantly, is proven to increase sales.
The division is delighted to announce three new publishing partners who are joining the scheme from this month.
Brighton-based greetings and stationery designer Louise Mulgrew, known for beautiful illustrative designs and love of animals and the environment, is set to be a great addition to the GBCP offering.
Award-winning humour publisher Redback will also be launched in 2024. Funny, clever and super cool, GBCP is delighted to offer the Redback collection to ignite birthday laughs this year.
“We reviewed our publishing partners, and looked at other publishers who we believe both offer us something different from what we have already and are also doing a fantastic job in the market”

And finally, designed in Derbyshire, Dandelion is the go-to publisher of heartfelt words and sentiments, with a good measure of humour.
GBCC CEO David Byk said: “We reviewed our publishing partners, and looked at other publishers who we believe both offer us something different from what we have already and are also doing a fantastic job in the market, and we narrowed our ‘targets’ down to these three companies. We were absolutely delighted when all three wanted to come on board. This is on top of Stop the Clock and Raspberry Blossom, who joined the scheme in the last quarter of 2023.
He added: “Our 22 unique publishing partners see the value of what we offer in the market with a complete planned category solution which results in a customer-focused, data driven, cohesive look and offer – all arriving in one delivery, with one invoice, and one point of contact backed up by our merchandising service if required. We tailor the solution for big and small retailers, and it drives sales whilst reducing stock and time, which is why it works for retailers and publishers alike.”
2004 looks to be an exciting year for GBCC as the company is exhibiting at Harrogate Christmas & Gift for the first time for many years, as well as Spring Fair. It presented its 2024 Christmas range to the sales force in December who were delighted with the size, breadth and fantastic designs and saw it as the best collection to date.
Early results for 2023 show a positive result from last year’s Christmas with retailers reporting good sell-through and a very active last few days leading up to December 25. As a result of this, and the very well received 2024 range, initial sell-in for GBCC’s Christmas 2024 offer is looking positive with strong designs and some very popular new formats. This also bodes well for positive shows at both Harrogate and the NEC.
GBCC said it will launching its newest Paper Salad gift stationery collaboration in January,‘and it looks fantastic with the GBCC high quality applied to Paper Salad’s amazing bright designs. This will be on the stand at the NEC. We have our biggest and best humour launch for many years, including additions to our well-known Humour Factory range and a brand-new friendship range called ‘Two Old Friends’, plus licensed cards from David Walliams and Bewilderbeest. This is in addition to more than 50 O&R cards which are being launched at the NEC. In total, over 800 new SKUs will be on the stand at Spring Fair.’
