Exclusively Housewares Trends

The Exclusively Show now has a shortlist of more than 50 ‘super on trend’ products and brands, out of the 300-plus exhibiting.

Visitors will have to wait until the exhibition itself – which takes place on June 11 and June 12 at the Business Design Centre in London – for the ultimate accolades. But all the shortlisted winners will be on display in the Trends Showcase, which is curated and endorsed by trend forecasting agency Scarlet Opus.

Scarlet Opus will also host Trend Talks at the event. Seats are available on a first-come, firstserved basis on the day with around 50 seats available for each presentation. Visitors are also urged to book a place on a Trend Tour, to get an exclusive and more intimate insight into the sales must-haves for now, 2025 and beyond, from Scarlet Opus co-owner Phil Pond. The Trend Tours run on the hour and visitors should pre-book at https://www.exclusivelyshows.co.uk/press/scarlet-opus-trend-tours-talks

Meanwhile, Exclusively has released its third pre-show insight into style trends: Resolve. This is described as ‘essentially a lack of trust in official government and economic prediction and a determination to ‘create’ on the side of the consumer’.

Exclusively Show 2024

Phil explained: “Resolve consumers want demonstrably genuine corporate social responsibility (CSR). They are cynical about anything they perceive as somehow ‘rigging’ sustainability to tick boxes. So suppliers need to demonstrate genuine sustainability credentials in their product development. This is good news for real creators and for any supplier who can demonstrate real reuse of genuine waste materials.

“As a result, predict massive breakthroughs with metal and wood, but the look is crucial. On the warm metallics front, we are seeing warms like bronze, rose gold, copper, and brass, but also cooler tones if blackened like tarnished silver and pewter. Across the board, we are looking for burnished, shimmers, brushed and weathered.

“The same thinking is true of wood, where we predict mid to dark tones, warm such as cherry or redwood, and blackened or charred themes.”

Exclusively chair Will Jones said: “Exclusively has a well-established reputation for predicting the commercial trends in housewares, gifts, and small domestic electricals, and this year will be no exception. Visitors can enjoy Trend Talks, Trend Tours, and displays of exhibitors’ products pre-selected for being particularly ‘on trend’.”
