Exclusively registration success

Not only did exhibition space at the gift, housewares, and small domestic electricals show Exclusively (which runs on June 11 and June 12 at the Business Design Centre in London) sell out sooner than ever before this year, but registered visitor numbers are tracking at 13% up on 2023 numbers, suggesting another potentially busy exhibition.

This follows the 10% year-on-year increase last year – a figure which also saw the show well up on pre-lockdown numbers. All the show’s allocated hotel rooms (part of a package of incentives to make attendance easy for retailers) have been booked to a wide range of UK multiples, independents, outlet stores, catalogue and online retailers, and garden centres – as well as the highest ever number of overseas visitors.

“We’re looking forward to the show with confidence given the increase in registrations, and we’re optimistic that this will translate into increased visitor numbers”

Buyers from AO, B&Q, Next, Sainsbury’s, Dunelm, Dobbies, Lakeland, Homebase, Robert Dyas, Freemans, Trago Mills, TJX and Blue Diamond will mingle with a plethora of UK independents, department stores, and shopping channels. Overseas buyers from as far away as South Africa will be joined by retailers from Germany, France, Spain, Eire, Sweden and the Channel Islands.

Exclusively marketing director Steve Richardson said: “We’re looking forward to the show with confidence given the increase in registrations, and we’re optimistic that this will translate into increased visitor numbers.

“The show’s strengths of a very exclusive entry criteria, the best brands in the industry, and a fabulous trend showcase – combined with our ethos of really looking after our visitors, with free refreshments, an evening reception, and subsidised travel available for all visitors – is proving increasingly popular.

“There are some notable trends among exhibitors driving particular interest. Tableware has made a real resurgence at Exclusively and now accounts for 20% of all stands. Brands such as Portmeirion Group and Villeroy & Boch have returned to the show, alongside regulars such as Denby, Mason Cash, and Sabichi. They are joined by a good number of newcomers such as Tarhong, ABS Pottery, Sur La Table, Wade, Royal Victoria, and Milton Brook.”

Exclusively regularly has more than 140 companies and 300 brands participating, and attracts leading UK buyers in the categories it represents. It also targets international buyers, journalists, bloggers, and influencers, so the opportunities for exhibitors are extensive.
