Eco-Friendly Card Co.

South Devon-based The Eco-friendly Card Co. has recommitted its support for local autism charity Asperations, by funding an art therapist to work with children.

The charity came to the attention of director Sue Morrish last year, after a plea for funding on local TV. Asperations had previously received grants from several organisations but “unfortunately all the pots had dried up” and it was faced with closure, when the publisher stepped in providing funding for its art therapist.

“I believe that creativity can be helpful and healing, and with our background in publishing art too, we are privileged to supporting Asperations for a second year by funding their art therapist”

Providing support for parents of children suffering from ADHD, Aspergers and Autism, Asperations is a small charity that makes a big impact on people’s lives. It is a place where parents can come and talk and discuss problems with like-minded people, while offering their kids the freedom to express themselves through a range of activities, including sport, games and crafts.

The Eco-friendly Card Co. has provided funding for Heather, the art therapist who is based in a quiet room working with small groups on arts & crafts.
