Garden and outdoor living trade show Glee has announced the launch of its first-ever nationwide Roadshow. The event will bring together expert insights, valuable networking opportunities, and practical solutions – all designed to equip garden retailers with the tools they need to thrive in the year ahead and beyond.
The Roadshow will kick off in the Southwest at Monkton Elm Garden Centre in Taunton on April 1, from 1pm to 5pm. Attendees will enjoy a networking lunch with live food demonstrations before hearing from Glee strategist Boyd Douglas-Davis and other special guests, who will deliver opening remarks and outline the themes for the day.
The event will also feature a panel discussion entitled ‘Navigating Budget Cuts: How Garden Centres Are Planning for Growth’. This session will allow retailers to share experiences, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into overcoming financial challenges while driving business success.
A mid-afternoon break will provide further networking opportunities before the focus shifts to a hands-on workshop entitled ‘How to Be the Heart of the Community: Creating a Destination, Not Just a Store’. This session will explore strategies to enhance customer experience, increase footfall, and strengthen connections with local communities.
Glee event director Matthew Mein said: “As Glee continues to support and inspire the garden retail community, our nationwide Roadshow marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to unite the industry. We understand that garden centre owners and buyers are busy preparing for the season ahead, so we’re bringing Glee directly to them – making it easier than ever to be part of the conversation. With a superb schedule of content, we will tackle the industry’s biggest challenges head-on, equipping attendees with practical, proven solutions they can implement straight away.”
The Roadshow will be expanding to two additional UK locations in the coming months, with details to be announced soon. Attendance is free, but spaces are limited. Early registration is encouraged to secure a place at the first event in the Southwest. To find out more, including registering your interest, visit www.gleebirmingham.com/roadshow
