Victoria Eggs celebrates its 14th birthday

Established in 2011, Victoria Eggs began its journey at an East London market stall in Spitalfields. The eponymous founder and creative director Victoria’s entrepreneurial spirit took root while she was working as a designer in Australia, longing for the familiar comforts of her British home.

With a spark of inspiration, she sketched a few designs that encapsulated the spirit of ‘good old Blighty’. With £1,500 withdrawn from her savings, she hand-printed a stock of tea towels and t-shirts, laying the foundation for what would become Victoria Eggs.

“Design has always been my passion; it’s at the heart of everything I do. But this goes beyond creating beautifully designed products”

As the business blossomed, Victoria nurtured a loyal network of small independent businesses across the globe. Her products have since been stocked at Next, Waterstones, Whole Foods, Liberty, and Harrods, and across London landmarks like St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, and Historic Royal Palaces. Victoria has also collaborated on bespoke collections for some iconic destinations including Royal Albert Hall, Henley Royal Regatta, House of Lords, and Abbey Road Studios.

Since the beginning, Victoria Eggs has collaborated with traditional British craft manufacturers, ensuring every item is handmade in the UK with meticulous attention to detail. The company is continually exploring ways to lessen our impact on the environment, and only partners with manufacturers whose ethics closely align with its code of environmental responsibility and sustainability. Everything is produced and packaged in the UK, from ceramic mugs to woven labels.

Victoria said: “Design has always been my passion; it’s at the heart of everything I do. But this goes beyond creating beautifully designed products. I create pieces that are not only beautiful but sustainable, minimising their impact on the environment. My goal is to make every product as durable as possible, so it can be cherished for a lifetime. This commitment is my responsibility – to our customers and to our planet.”

The very first designs that Victoria created were for London, so it seemed fitting to launch its newest collection, Quintessentially London, to mark the occasion. This is a celebration of Victoria’s favourite city, and a nostalgic tour of the capital’s secret gems. These include Ronnie Scott’s hidden under the Tower of London, Brick Lane alongside St Paul’s Cathedral, and a pelican from St James’s Park crossing Abbey Road in front of a black cab.

Whether you’re updating your kitchen, enjoying a cosy cuppa, or searching for the perfect gift, Victoria Eggs brings joy and nostalgia to every occasion.
